Have you got any old pictures, mods, skins, videos, ect.? Please send them into FEARGameFiles.com!
We have had a major drop on files being made for F.E.A.R. and we need your help.
It's simple, record a video that you think would be funny or just plan awesome and send it in!
Take a screenshot that everyone will enjoy!
Make a cool looking skin!
Create a small, large, anysize map!
Have some news you found out about F.E.A.R.? Send that in to!
Please, all we ask is that you help keep FEAR Game Files running,

Who do you think would be heard by the way: an incapable staff that abuses its admin rights by deleting posts that shock its ego or a former respected network admin? With that said, I had anticipated that you would delete my comments, so I have kept all of them as well as igii's lite reply.
This site was poorly managed since its inception, no wonder why it never took off. Monarch Knippschild or that joke of site admin should have been booted out for a long time.
Now you ask the community to help you do your job? How funny that is. You do nothing yourself man, just wait for items to pop in then go into hibernation until the next batch arrives. Hardly any news is posted (40 in 9 months and the majority of them by a network staff typically Ronnie), how many files without a proper description and screenshots?
Maybe you should look into that before begging like that. Because you are responsible for this mess, not the community. |

all that I can say from that post is that this is a COMMUNITY site isn't it?So as far as I'm concerned it IS the community's fault for not submitting their stuff here.And bluehair,tbh I've chatted with some of the staff before and their actually nice,so as far as I'm concerned you really need to get your facts streight before you post.Just figured I'd give my 2cents. |

Posts: 249 | Although I think Bluehair is a little too *****ed off about how a site that isnt even his is ran, i am forced to agree with a few points, although in a more 'constructive critisism' sort of way.
Readme's posted in the descriptions, or the authors description. Maybe a little more than one line dealies.
Screenshots for every file. If the author doesnt send one, jump n the game and pop one off. Nobody like to download a file that doesnt have a screenie with it to see.
Surf the net. There are a ton of files out there.
Awesome resource
More news. Cant find any? Make some. Email some prominent mappers and interview them. VMan has made TONS of maps for FEAR. Use Firefox and add the main sites RSS feeds to your Live Bookmarks toolbar.
Again, I think buddy is an insulting spaz, but he brings up some points. Just a better delivery would have helped. Nobody likes to listen to someone who is jumping down your throat. |

In the end though, FEAR just doesnt have a very big mod community. Other than maps, their isnt much out there, and Ive looked. I run NoFearGaming, and after a while, it was just maps to post. Most wern't very good quality. There was some very good ones granted, but just not enough to keep me hunting all the time.
I can't even remember the last time I added a user based file. All I've added is official stuff. They get hit alright, and the maps have been downloaded quite a bit, but with no real mods to speak of, gets boring quick.
Maybe the release of the free MP will pick it up. Lots of servers now, and F:EP could give a boost too. Still though, someone needs to get some mods kickin. Some weapons mods. Skinning, conversions and what not. Be nice, cause this is a hellova good engine to work with. Could you imagine the Paintball mod from Call of Duty on the FEAR engine?!?! - Fun in a glass! |
